Who We Are                                                         

Groenink's Elevator and Hardware, Inc., and its wholesale division, Grand Valley Distributors,has been in business since 1975. We started out as a feed elevator, selling farm feeds, water softening salt, and fertilizer. As we grew, we started wholesaling salt, and later feed and fertilizer.

What We Do

 Today, we have a retail store where we still sell feed and fertilizer by the bag. We bag our own brand of fertilizer and deicer salt named GRIP. GRIP stands for Groenink's Recommended Improved Planning. We have a facility where we bag our own turf size fertilizer and deicer products, selling them both wholesale and retail. The fertilizer used comes to us by rail car, making it a specialized turf product. We are currently expanding our bagging facility which will help us produce a better product more efficiently.

We carry a wide variety of Carhartt clothes and Red Wing Shoes. Groenink's also has a large selection of Animal Health Products.

As we hear about other elevators closing, we are thankful we have a diversified product line. To stay in business, we understand how important it is to produce high quality products. We can keep our overhead cost down because we do not depend on one product. We are not like your local elevator, because we spend a lot of time and money to produce a lot of tonnage and quality product. This diversification keeps our customers happy.

We are located 25 miles west of Grand Rapids in the small town of Nunica, Michigan. (Exit 10 off I-96).

Mondays: 8:00am-6:00pm

Tuesday-Friday: 8:00am-5:30pm

Saturday: 8:00am-3:00pm
